Netmiko Enterprise is a joint venture between Flock9 and Kirk Byers, the creator and maintainer of Netmiko. We exist to bring commercial-grade trust to the open-source library that already runs network automation at enterprises worldwide.
Why we started
The network belongs to the people who operate it, not to the vendor who sold them their equipment. That belief runs through what we build. Open foundations with enterprise control, security, and support.
Netmiko is where most network engineers already work. It sits quietly inside the scripts and pipelines that run production, and it has done so since 2014. As AI begins to reach for the network, that is exactly where trust has to be built. So we chose to build it there, together with the person who created Netmiko.

What we build
Our first product is Netmiko Guardian: an AI agent that works on your network, safely. It reasons about your infrastructure, takes action within the policies you set, and logs every step. The guardrails are built in, so you can let AI help run the network without giving up control.
Netmiko itself stays open source under its MIT license, maintained in the open as it always has been. Guardian is a commercial product built on top of it, developed inside the joint venture. The open project and the commercial product each stay exactly where they belong.

Kirk Byers
Creator & maintainer, Netmiko
Kirk built Netmiko over a decade ago and has maintained it ever since. He remains its maintainer and steward, and leads the technical direction of Netmiko Guardian. The open-source promise is his to keep.
Wim Gerrits
CEO, Flock9
Leads the commercial side of the partnership. Flock9 is the team behind Slurp'it and Netpicker, and brings Netmiko Guardian to the teams that already depend on Netmiko.
Pieter van Os
Solution Architect
Leads development on the Flock9 side, building the enterprise features and the testing and release work behind Netmiko Guardian.
Karel van Os
Development
Development & driver support. He helps build and maintain Netmiko Guardian, expands device support, and makes sure drivers work reliably across a wide range of network platforms.
Heleen Heijnis
Marketing
Marketing & communications. She helps position Netmiko Enterprise for teams already relying on Netmiko and makes sure the right message reaches the right audience across campaigns, content, and community.
